The first public display of The Freedom Quilt Experience was
September 3, 2011 at Redline. The way the quilt panels were arranged, the entire Freedom Quilt Experience
could not be seen from any one vantage point. This had the effect of drawing you into the exhibit. Only when you
reached the far right side of the panels could see thevideo presentation that chronicled the journey the steel from the World Trade Center made on its
way from New York to Colorado.
There is no way to capture here the emotion evoked by the interaction of
the quilt panels, music, video, and attendees at this event.
