Born in Paxton, Nebraska I guess I was blessed with the "crafty genes" so common in small farming communities. I
have been involved in seamstress work my entire life. Over the years I have made too many clothes for my
children, bridesmaids, flower girls, and prom dresses to count. It seems me and my trusty sewing machine
are always on call for last minute alterations and adjustments for any special occasion dress or
In 2007 my daughter gave me a "quilting class" for my birthday. After a few weeks I came home and
told my husband that the ladies in class are always talking about how a "long arm" machine simplifies your
quilting. He began researching long arm quilting machines (he had no idea the uncharted territory he
was entering). Since the name that kept popping up was "Gammill" he called the company and talked to the president
to find out more.
Always the entrepreneurs , we decided to purchase a Gammill Optimum with a Statler Stitcher in early 2008.
We waited a month for delivery and then another month or so learning the basics. We then began finishing quilts for
others and the rest is history.
Existing loyal customers and their referrals make up over 90% of our business. We quilted nearly 1000
quilts in 2013 alone. We have delivered more than 50 free quilts through our customer loyalty
program (6th quilt is free).
